The Audit Committee serves an important role in promoting countability, transparency, and responsible stewardship within the life of the parish.
In accordance with the Diocesan Bylaws and parish regulations, the Audit
Committee reviews the financial records, accounts, and reports of the parish. Its responsibility is to verify that the financial activities of the Church have been properly recorded and that parish funds have been administered responsibly and in accordance with the decisions and policies of the Church. The Committee works independently in carrying out its review and presents its findings and recommendations to the Annual Parish Assembly, helping parishioners receive a clear and accurate understanding of the financial affairs of the Church. The ministry of the Audit Committee reflects an important Christian principle: everything entrusted to us is ultimately a gift from God and must be administered with faithfulness, integrity, honesty, and care. Through its service, the Audit Committee helps safeguard the resources of the parish and strengthens the trust necessary for the Church to fulfill its spiritual, educational, charitable, and pastoral mission.
“Moreover, it is required of stewards that they be found faithful.”
1 Corinthians 4:2
